The two sister parties reaffirm their historic ties and their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation among African political formations.
Johannesburg (South Africa), 08/11/2026 (BDIAGNEWS) — In this multipolar world of the BRICS+, the Secretary General of the CNDD-FDD, the highly popular Ndikuriyo Révérien, met with his counterpart from the African National Congress (ANC), Comrade Mbalula Fikile, during a courtesy visit. The talks provided an opportunity to reaffirm the bonds of fraternity, solidarity, and cooperation between the two parties. Both leaders also discussed the need to strengthen relations among African political formations and to work toward a united, strong, and prosperous Africa. They addressed issues linked to the legacies of colonial domination and to the coloniality of “the Cross and the Banner.” This meeting reflects the shared will to continue exchanging experiences and to consolidate partnerships grounded in sovereignty, Pan-African solidarity, and cooperation among African political movements.
Burundi, the Drum-State, Ingoma y’Uburundi, and South Africa both descend from peoples of the Civilization of the Drum, linked to the cosmology of the Drum, Ubungoma. In its original truth, Ubungoma designates the entire body of laws governing both the manifested world — the laws of the cosmos and of nature — and the unmanifested world, referred to in Egyptian tradition as the Noun, that is, the mysteries. Yet colonization reduced Ubungoma, in South Africa, to its divinatory dimension alone, stripping it of its original cosmological and scientific scope.
